Last night, I had trouble sleeping.  I went to bed early enough to get 8 hours, and I slept very soundly for about the first 3 hours, then I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep.  I got up, walked around and got a drink of water, then I went back to bed.  I lay awake for a long time, and then went back to sleep again.  At some point, I experienced sleep paralysis.  I felt like I was separating from my body.  Then, I felt like I was down on the floor, on all fours (probably just trying to keep my grip on something physical).

When I was out of my body, I caught a brief glimpse of the room.  I could write it off as just a dream, because I thought I saw a potted plant, which was definitely not in the room physically.  But it was so dark and realistic, like the time of night it really was.  It was like I could have physically stepped out of bed.  And I felt the coldness of the floor, and how my arms and legs felt against the surface.  I've never had such strong sensations in dreams before, and I haven't had an OBE in years.

After that, I felt like I was being pulled back to my body, and I became aware of sleep paralysis again.  Then I drifted off into a peaceful sleep until my alarm went off.

Does this sound like an OBE, or just a VERY VIVID and weird dream?
