I can mentor you.  Do you go on Facebook?  If so, my name on there is Teresa Reitan. Friend me and we can message.  I have been a Witch for at least 43 years, maybe longer.  I took my 1st degree in NROOGD and my 3rd degree in the Georgian tradition.

Seeking a witchcraft and wiccan mentor, seeing as I am solitary. Books are a great way to learn, but I could use a little human interaction.

I'm not entirely a newbie, but I'm back to the Craft after a long break. This time I'm really dedicated and certain this is the correct religion for me. Having a friend or mentor would be wonderful.

The link goes to a a Reiki guide that is free so you never have to pay anyone for it.

Reiki is the simplest thing in the world to do.

Reiki classes in several Texas cities

Reiki is a natural healing modality and easy to lean. Healing Today has provided classes to thousands of students since 1999.

The training is in traditional Usui Reiki. In the level 1 class the student is taught the basics of Reiki healing including the hand positions to practice on self and others.

The fees to the Reiki classes include handout, attunement, and certificate. The level 1 class is only $75 total. The level 2 class is $85. Each workshop is all inclusive.

The classes will be taught by Richard C. Fiallo, Reiki Master. Richard has been teaching and sharing Reiki with others since 1999 and has personally attuned over 5000 different students. The classes are always fun, informative and include lots of hands-on experience.

@Michael, are you interested in folk magic, ceremonial magic, witchcraft and/or paganism, earth spirituality?  If you can give us a narrow(er) focus, I bet we can recommend some of our favorite books for you.

thank you for the help and I am just learning about magic so I could use all the help I can get

@Michael ... I also wear a number of different charms, sometimes altogether, sometimes apart for differing reasons.

Lately I've been wearing an eye, for knowledge & wisdom.  It relates to the Third Eye but also the All-Seeing Eye.  I also have an Om, which is the seed syllable and source of creation.  It also reminds me to stay centered in my body.  A kokopelli, which is essentially a fertility charm.  A Kali Yantra when I am calling upon Her, among other things.

It's important for the symbol to make sense to you as much as it is to be appropriately chosen.  So considering any tradition you may follow or be interested in is a good place to start, but as Tegwedd said the pentacle is a fairly good all-purpose.  It also represents the 5 elements & is used for protection.

The pentacle is a good all-purpose charm, being as it is the symbol of our faith.  I also like to wear the Fehu Rune, representing as it does, wealth for the Norse.
