Tonight we celebrate Hena Kai Nea, the 'old and the new', Hecate and the end of the month of Hekatombaion. Enjoy and I hope that you all have a safe one.

Tonight is final night of Panathenaea, which celebrates Athena's birth. It was a great week.

Today is Athena's birthday, which is the climax of Panathenaea. However I found out that the New Moon won't be until Tuesday so this holiday is extended until tomorrow night and then we honor Hecate on Tuesday night. HAIL ATHENA!

Timothy, who wrote the book "A Beginners Guide to Hellenismos" told me that it was all connected to Theseus. I think the holiday might of started to celebrate what happened to the Minotaur as well as united Attica with Athens under him.
