to Necromage:The mad arab story has been around a very long time, there are enough references in historical documents to confirm existance of a person of this description. As to the original Necronomicon, the copy used by lovecraft and others is in the library archive of the British Museum. I have seen the original back in 1989, it was veiwable by appointment only, it is comprised of the original parchment pages in arabic and notes in greek and german translations. It was available to see by recognized scholars only.

Simon's necronomicon seems to have alot of similarity's to the lesser key of solomon. were these taken from the lesser key?

Who here believes in accuracy of the Abdul Alhazred legend? Where did you first hear of the legend, and can you give a summary of the version you heard. and can anyone make any educated guesses regarding the existance and or whereabouts of the original necronomicon?

I have tried the same methods that tyson used in his version to obtain the knowledge he passed on. In the Guidebook for the tarot he created from his experiences he encourages people to seek their own understanding of such a powerful book.
