I'm doing a Wiccan Wheel of the Year service on October 26th. Samhain is the name of the service, but I am focusing more on the wheel, so I  can explain the other parts of the year. We are also dealing with how donating food to the poor is an act of faith, to connect with the church's trick or treat for food for the local food bank. I am hoping to do some other holidays, focusing on other Pagan Traditions. I guess that depends on how well I do this service. :)

Welcome! To official UUism. You were obviously already uu at heart.

Sorry about your experiences with the local UU. The one I attend (New London) is pretty liberal. There are a few of us pagans though we don't meet separately. A lot of the old timers are humanists and I know some of them, let's say, don't care for me. But hell, my mission is not to be loved by everyone. BTW, Carol, the worship leader, frequently says "Blessed Be." It makes me warm all over. lol "Comfort the Afflicted and Afflict the Comfortable" is my motto (I have it tattooed on the inside of my forearms.) Blessings.

I'm a member of CUUPS, but you don't have to be to join this group, that's why I didn't name it CUUPS... And well crap happens in any group. I got kicked out of a coven with no due process....

Thomas Jefferson was said to have said "I will be a Unitarian by myself". I have been burned once by the Unitarian church near us on the combined issues of class and mental illness. I returned, cautiously. Now I am in the middle of another conflict where an authoritarian church president has banned individuals from the church grounds without and due process as allowed by church policy. I feel unsafe, and if it is not settled down, I will probably leave the church. If I leave again I will not return. I will probably also stop calling myself a Unitarian as it is the Unitarian strain which seems to cause the power-over issues I've had trouble with. I would then be a solitary Universalist. Would I still be able to call myself CUUPS and find community here? Or should I try and find a non-related community as you are definitely still connected with Unitarianism.

Well, I do apologise for being MIA. I've been focusing on more local activities. I'm going to let folks at the CUUPs facebook page know that this group exists, and perhaps we will get some more activity here.

Hi Everyone!  My name is Chrysalis and I'm a co-founder of the Tribe of Gaea along with Arcas who has posted below.  We are both UU's and really identify and connect with the UU Principles and approach!  I look forward to talking with other UU Pagans out there!  :-)
