Hi Garth,

This is an ideal choice to pursue.  I believe, however, that Coast Salish speakers were decimated by disease some time ago but whether this was in Canada or Northern US I know not.

The problem is finding First Nation elders who are not plagued by presbyophrenia.  I found in my contacts with the Cherokee that much of the old heritage had been lost by the exposure over the centuries to Christian lies and to alcoholism, this latter being the self-inflicted  malady of a dispossessed people.  Another caveat is to ensure that a contact is genuine – read pages G07 and G08 on my website which are from the pen of Lakota, Oneida, Hopi, Cherokee, Ojibwe et al..

One Cherokee friend – a lady in her 40s, would have been an excellent contact for you in Canada but unfortunately she has recently departed for Australia.  She was well-schooled by her father, putting into practice applicable facets of her heritage in the social work field with unemployed youth and former prison inmates.   Living in a splendid woodland and wild water environment she taught regularly to those of First Nation status in medicine wheel techniques etc..

Her father was 100% Cherokee while her mother was pure Kelt – not as strange a mixture as one might think as, when one digs deeper than normal, a strange similarity in belief structures are found.

I wish you well in your quest and should be grateful to learn of your positive outcomes therein.

Very best wishes,

Dear Garth,

I doubt if you'll find any Welsh family groups in the US.  If you read my website and that of Y Plant Bran et al., you will see that we do not export a family tradition which is held in honour to foreign lands.  Our family heritage is valid only in the UK.

Certainly a few 'eclectic' creeps have attempted to steal sections of text to attempt to prove they are Cymreig having read my 'Portal of The Keltic Gods'.  That is why my website is now in full view - to show the true origin of our copyright work.

Nevertheless, the website has a Taxonomy which one can use to place any other pantheon in a proper schema via the metaphysical Law of Analogy and demonstrates various Defodau as exemplars to encourage UK Kelts to create their own texts.

What most do not realise is the land, as a sacred living focus and Alma Mater in the true sense, requires veneration through the allied worship of ethnic Deities worshiped for centuries by its aboriginal races or First Nations.  Certainly the US is awash with Druidic groves where the pseudo-devotees try to do their very British thing an ocean apart from Britain, obtaining sickles with which to cut down mistletoe from the oak trees although they may be surrounded by redwoods with not an oak in sight!  Yes, such wannabes have a colourful hobby, nothing more.

I hope you find my website of academic interest and informative regarding what is a Welsh treasure house gifted by the inspiration of the Cymreig noumena.

Best wishes,
