About Me:
I live in the south ( the bible belt) which makes things difficult for someone with pagan beliefs. My main interest is in Runes and the history behind them. I'm reading what I can to learn more but around here books are hard to come by and I typically don't order things because I'm not very trusting.

Summer Solstice

Posted on June 21, 2009 at 7:34pm 0 Comments

This is actually the first time that I've recognized and celebrated the Solstice. Because I live in an apartment I am limited to the things I can do. I woke up this morning early, had breakfast on my balcony while watching the sunrise, and gave thanks to the gods for a beautiful day. After that I made the first rune of my new set; SIGEL. I thought today would be a great day to make this rune. I'm also letting it charge all day in the Solstice sun. I spent the afternoon with family grillin' and… Continue

Wayland the blacksmith

Note: I wanted to post this artice, because from what I've seen not many people know about Wayland and I think he deserves some kind of recognition.

The Smithy

Wayland the Smith in Berkshire

Back in the days before Christianity came to these shores, the Saxon bards would delight in standing before a blazing fire to tell elaborate tales of their gods and heroes. One can imagine the scene as one of these tales unfolded: the tale of Wayland the… Continue

Hi Khristopher.......

Thankyou for all your messages on my page. I'm real sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, but have been a bit of a stranger to PS these past months.
I know friends are very important so I didn't want to pass on any negativity while i was working through some tough stuff.

I wish you and your family a great Sunday, hope to catch up with you soon.

Peace and light :)

With my Runes I didn't specify the wood used, just what felt right to me personally. That would be up to you what you used, based on my path I support other people choosing what feels right to them, so searching it out for yourself is a good plan. I know that if you ascribe to Odin at all, Oak is his sacred tree. Not sure about many other deities, just stay open to your inner self and see where it leads you. Good luck finding what you need.
