I have been studying and learning about various pagan religions and magick for the past few years, off and on. I am still new to this scene, but after reading "Spiral Dance" by Starhawk I think I have found a tradition I would like to follow, or at least learn more about - Faery (or Feri) Tradition of Witchcraft (not Wicca). I am always ready and willing to learn more. I would like very much to find a group to help me start out on my new spiritual path.
Beliefs / Practices
Spiritual but not Religious, Pagan, Witch, Mystic, Shaman, Native American Spirituality, Druid
I find that my beliefs most closely align with those of the Feri/Faery Tradition of Witchcraft. While I respect all religious views, I know that patriachal system based religions, Wiccan traditions, and Satanism are not my cup of tea. I find roots in nature religions that put as much emphasis on the Goddess as the God, and where natural processes like sex are not forbidden or "sinful".
I like to read, and write (stories and poems). I do neither as much as I would like to, especially reading. I get my writing out in journalling, but not in the creative way I do when writing poetry or fictional stories. I also enjoy woodworking, although I have little practice in it, and no training. I love the outdoors, when the weather is good. I also really enjoy climbing trees and making my way across rocks, as at beaches. I think I should take up rock climbing, but haven't tried it as of yet.
How did you find PaganSpace?
It was mentioned by someone else on another forum I use, the forums of the Grey School of Wizardry (GSW). I came with no expectations of what I might find, but with the hope that I might meet new people, network a little, and learn a lot about what I don't know.
