Blessings to all, after learning some of Wicca, I am being called to the Ancient path of Avalon.  Danu has been calling me, Goddess Brighid called me to my pagan path in 2005.  I wish to learn what I can at my age and pass down to my TWO Beautiful Granddaughters, one how has an ancient soul and knows the Goddess already!  I over heard her talking to my late father when she was 3, telling him about the Goddess, I was amazed!   My Daughter follows a Druid path....can you guide me to what books I can read up on at this time please?  I am 63 Crone, Faerie/Elf loving lady.

The works of John & Caittlan Mathews are very good. They've written a number of books on Arthurian and Grail lore. The "Mabinogian" is another important source of Celtic mythical hisotrical knowledge about the history of Ireland and the waves of invasion from the Tuatha De Daanan to the Fomorians etc.... It's mythical history and a classic text. The Fairy Faith in Celtic Countries by Evan Wentz, is a very meaty book about the history of the fairy fath in the British Isles including interviews from locals with their own personal stories, and some content by William Buttler Yeats. "The Mabon and Celtic Guaridians of Brittain" By Caittlan Mathews. The works of Gareth Knight also focus a lot on the Arthurian stream. A lot of these works are more historical, then they are practical in terms of Wicca but I"m a big believer in reading ancient history and mythology to really enhance the wiccan experience. Especially if this is your area of interest. The good stuff is in ancient history, and mythology sources. :)
