A Potted History of The Herb

Let's get one thing straight: the `War on Drugs' is not new.

It is, in fact, an on-going propaganda campaign which mixes fact and fiction in unequal measure. To discover the truth is difficult - but not impossible - for intelligent people to make up their own minds about the benefits and, indeed, pleasures of smoking (or eating) the fruits of Cannabis Sativa: weed; wacky-baccy, call-it-what-you-will.

There are many instances of law-abiding people becoming criminalised for…

“Love is the only thing that makes things one without destroying them."

(Pierre Teilhard de Chardin)

Pierre Teillhard de Chardin was a Jesuit priest with a VERY radical outlook on Humanity and our place in the Cosmic scheme of things, the following is a small extract of his beliefs:

According to Teillhard, there exists, beyond the laws of physics, another fundamental principle of organization of the universe,…

Wandering Aengus

Though i am old with wandering

Through hollow lands and hilly lands,

I will find out where she has gone,

And kiss her lips and take her hands;

And walk among long dappled grass,

And pluck til time and times are done

The silver apples of the moon,

The golden apples of the sun.

Forever Thine

Once, we were fair my love,

upon a time, so long ago.

The world turned in your eyes,

and my heart was aglow

with the passion we shared,

and never thought would end.

Your skin, white as milk,

your hair the colour of corn,

smooth as silk,

and soft as a summer dawn.

Death may take our flesh

but cannot kill our love.

Our spirits soar from the cold earth

Released from mortal chains,

death-bound, but looking toward…

Greetings Wildewood! Thanks for thinking of me and sending the schroom! Just read most of the Teilhard posting on your page, very interesting...I agree with the neurological connection. He appears to have been an extremely advanced individual. The relationship between books (the written word), cities and evolvement of humans in a variety of ways (technology, spirituality, ecomonmics, political, ect.,) is greatly underestimated and misunderstood in my opinion. There is a very interesting book, 'The Alphabet Versus The Goddess', The Conflict between Word and Image', by Leonard Shalin. He is also the author of 'Art & Physics'. Won't go into it now, but I highly recommend it. I was quite stunned by his theories, especially the proposition that with the emergence of the alphabet literacy the brain was fundamentally reconfigured.  Facinating and original read. Well, have chatted long enough, have a great day my friend, Blessings, Ianna:)
