So I went with some people in PA to a Santerian ritual. The place I was at is called Four Quarters and every week they have a moon ceremony, on a different type of practice each time. This time it was Santeria. The leader of the group was dressed in white and had an ancestor alter set up with candles and different spiritually blessed items.
We addressed our ancestors or family members who had passed. The Ancestors wanted rum, coffee, and cigars. I smoked a small cigar. I asked some personal questions and got good answers through a coconut shell divination. She marked us with egg shell whites, and then afterwards we were cleansed by blessed water and more eggshells.
It was really nice. I'd like to go again and I'd also like to learn more about Santeria. The great thing about the location was it was inside a bunch of tall stones, that they move there one by one. On every stone there was an offering of a picture, or flowers, jewelery. There were different alters spread throughout the campground where the rituals take place. It would be a great place to go except it's about two or three hours away.
Does anyone want to share a ritual they experienced?
