Sorry to have been gone for so long, but for a few months, we had computer issues. Now Tegwedd has a new computer, and Stephen finally has his back from the shop. We also both have cellphones that go on the Internet, but Tegwedd prefers to use her computer.
Have any of you had strange dreams lately? You tell us your dreams and we’ll tell you ours. Some people just see dreams as data dumps of what we’ve experienced and thoughts we had during the day. Others see dreams as the doors to the subconscious and unconscious. Many psychologists see the subconscious and unconscious as the same area of the mind, but Tegwedd disagrees. To her, they are two different and distinct areas. There is the collective unconscious, also known as race memory, which has images and memories inherited from our distant ancestors back when the Cro-Magnons came from Africa or what is now Israel over 100 thousand years ago. The subconscious we are dimly aware of, as it comes out in chance remarks and dream and visions, while we are completely unaware of the unconscious This group is a sister group to Adventures in the Astral Realms.
Stephen has been having espionage dreams and undercover cop dreams. Tegwedd actually had a dream a few weeks ago about making it with someone other than Doc. Stephen had a dream about going on a luxury cruise ship . He was an undercover cop with the assignment to apprehend a Mafia kingpin. The kingpin was traveling with an entourage of Mafia goons and molls (gangster girlfriends). So it wouldn’t be easy to apprehend him. It might be easier just to kill him. Stephen saw him walking down the stairs with his entourage. When he was thinking what his next move might be, he woke up.
Tegwedd is inspired by this discussion to resume recording her dreams in her dream diary. She’s been having some very interesting dreams recently. The message of the dream a couple days ago was that “Koreans do the best barbecue.” Stephen is also inspired to his dream journal. You can go cheap or expensive with this concept. you can use those fancy blank books that many bookstores, stationary and office supply stores, Llewellyn offers some great journals. But the way that Tegwedd chose cost her nothing. She happened to have some loose leaf binders she had gotten from a temp job, and from a friend. She put a package of notebook filler paper in it, and voila, a dream journal. She did the same thing when she put together her “ugly notebook.” It’s best to write in it first thing in the morning when your dream is fresh in your mind. Stephen repeats a Huna prayer to get himself to recall his dreams. “Low self! I will call my dreams.” He says it at least four times to get it to his Low Self or his subconscious.
A personal note: Stephen got his computer back the other day, but he’s being very disciplined about getting work done before setting it up. When we’re talking about work, we’re talking work around the house, or outside in the yard.
We’d like to hear about your dreams, especially those with a Pagan bent. Some dreams are prophetic. About 26 years ago, in the middle of the movie “In the Company of Wolves,” Tegwedd had a vision in which her friends Rasty Bob and Greg got arrested. Three months later it actually happened. Prophetic dreams feel very real, bot like dreams at all. When you wake up, you feel strange. Many times you feel energized. When you feel that you’ve had a prophetic dream, write down as many details as you can, using all 6 senses.
For the Australian aborigines, there was a Dreamtime, which was a real place you went to when you dreamed, traveling a special road called a dream path. Tegwedd’s understanding of the Dreamtime is much different from Stephen’s. Her understanding of the Dreamtime is that it was a long time ago, before the modern consciousness. Another aspect of the Dreamtime is H.P. Lovecraft’s Dreamlands, but this is more pertinent to our sister group Adventures in the Astral Realms. The following is condensed from the Wikipedia article on the Dreamtime: The Dreamtime is the Australian aboriginal mythological era. It’s a sacred time when the ancestral Totem Spirit Beings formed the Creation. The Aranda call it the “Alchera.” It’s also called the Dreaming, which is also a group’s or individual’s beliefs or spirituality. A person might say that s/he has kangaroo dreaming, shark dreaming, or dingo dreaming. The Dreamtime laid down the patterns of life for the Aboriginal people. Every person exists eternally in the Dreamtime. This eternal part existed before in the Dreamtime, and continues to exist after the mortal body dies. The spirit of a child is considered enter the feuts in the 5th month of pregnancy when the baby moves for the 1st time. The baby is considered to be a special custodian of the part of the country his mother stood in when the quickening occurred and is taught the stories and songlines of that place. An aborigine may regard hir totem or the place from which hir spirit came as hir Dreaming. Also hir tribal law is hir Dreaming.
The Dreaming established the customs and standards of behavior for those in the community. This includes interpersonal relations. The spirit beings left their marks on the landscape and on each child, and each child learns these are part of hir education, along with the songlines and ceremonies that go with each part of the country. Songlines are tracks laid down by the creator beings describing features of the landscape and/or the sky. They have to be continually sung as one traverses the landscape so that the land will stay alive. It’s not included in the article, but Tegwedd wonders whether there might be, or have been at one time before the white man took over, when there were lodges or societies wherein the children learned the ceremonies and songlines for their totemic spirits and/or parts of the countryside.

The 75,000 Verizon workers are on strike, and we stand with them. Solidarnosc! as the Poles would say. Verizon management, all Republicans, have made 100 unreasonable demands, and refuse to negotiate, but are paying scabs to cross the picket lines, and work for them. All the workers want, is to keep what they have, a small cost of living increase in wages, their health care, and their pensions. Management wants them to pay $100 per month for health care, while they get it free. If you were thinking of getting a Verizon phone and account, and do tell them why you aren’t, that you are boycotting them. If you have a Verizon account, close it, and go to another carrier, and tell Verizon why. Tegwedd used to be in favor of management like her father, who was a staunch Republican until he died, until she tried to live on the wages she got as a temp office worker. The she got in with Doc, who was a member of the SEIU Health Workers union. Stephen was a strong union man since he was 20. He’s a member of the IWW (International Workers of the World) aka the Wobblies. Janvier was a little Wobbly when she first started walking. If you want to piss off Stephen, abuse or oppress the workers. A very wise person once told Tegwedd years ago that you know you’ve successfully negotiated when nobody leaves the table happy. Tell Verizon that you refuse to do business with an employer who oppresses its workers.

Abbott’s Inn International School of Magick is over 40 years old, having been founded in 1970 in Berkeley, CA. It went cybernetic almost 9 years ago. Lizet has been helping us put the school on a more commercial footing, and with her inspiration, Tegwedd has started packaging the classes into manageable packets. Ms. Freeman did a 3rd website for us almost a month ago at http://abbottsinn.wordpress.com. From there, by clicking on two of the graphics, you can go to either of the other two sites: http://abbottsinninternational.com/andhttp://abbottsinn.com/. You can also get to our networkhttp://abbottsinn.ning.com/. With her help, we also salvaged some things from his old website, including the mission statement: The Abbott’s Inn International School of Magick aims to provide a gentle nurturing environment that promotes education in both the atmosphere and the specific tools of magick. Our research arm is called the Magickal Research Institute or MRI, not to be confused with the medical MRI, or Magnetic Resonance Image, which Tegwedd had on her right ankle about 9 months ago. Stephen and Lizet came up with the name almost 9 years ago. The three of us have become a very effective working team. Stephen has his cell phone, and we are both enjoying learning how to use our cell phones. His cell phone number is 916-467-6393. He’ll have access to the Internet on that phone. He says “I’m not very good at texting because of my glaucoma, so please be gentle with me.” Don’t forget to call 888-611-7982 for all your divination, learning class, and research needs.
