My description of Ocean Meditation is broken up into two parts to fit into the Discussion Forum space. You will need to read both parts to understand what Ocean Meditation is and how to practice it.

When you have experiences to share, please post them in the Comment Wall. If you have questions, post them in the Comment Wall as well. If you have something personal to discuss with me, please e-mail me. Please do not post anything at all in the Discussion Forum, as I want to use that space exclusively for explaining to you and everyone else the dynamics of Ocean Meditation.

I am learning more about Ocean Meditation as I practice it day by day. By reading your experiences with it, I hope to be able to intensify and accelerate my learning process even more. And by including some of your experiences in my book, I will be able to reach out to even more people.

The ocean has always captured my heart. From its vastness to its power to its calming energy. the beach has always been a spot where i can relax and even before i started meditating i was always compelled to pray at the beach. being quieted inside listening to the roars and gentle rumbles of the gulf always brought me a connection with god, god speaks in silence. I wish to sail one day soon in a ship of my own. ocean meditation is beutiful thank you dreamwalker.

Hey, Treewitch.  Thank you for your nice words.  You are definitely my kind of person!!!!  Thank you so much for giving me some feedback about how you are progressing with this Ocean Meditation.  To answer your question, at this point I do not think that this meditation exercise will make it into my book.  My first book will be about my dice oracle and nothing more.  In future books I will branch out into other things.

I know its been a while since I have posted,, just busy with life and such. However, I am using the ocean meditation on a much more regular basis and find that it not only helps to keep me grounded, but also is a great means of calm when things are so busy. When I cant get to the ocean, as I have already told you, I use recorded sounds of rain if the weather isn't cooperating. I can tell you that I can reach that other level of dimension much more quickly and it has also helped me to see into my future of moving into the yet undiscovered new home we are looking for. I can see the house we will buy and see us living in harmony and peace. It is a very relaxing thing for me to have been able to see this vision as, it is a very stressful thing, selling the condo we are presently living in as well as, the hustle and bustle of where we now live and being able to move to a much more rural place and have the home of our dreams. Our excitement level is growing every day that the time gets closer and I can only say that the meditations are getting stronger and stronger as far as, feeling more confident that we will buy the right home and live in peace and harmony with nature, something that we haven't had here where we are presently.

I think its awesome that you are going to incorporate the Ocean Meditation into your book. I know that it will be a fantastic book and hope that I will be able to get a signed copy. You are a very wise and gentle soul and I have great respect for you and your dedication to reaching out to others and sharing your knowledge and experiences with us. Thank  you for all you do.

Your instructions to count to 10 with the breaths is wonderfully effective.

I've tried thinking "in" and "out" with my breaths and I've tried counting, but with each of those methods, it's too easy to fall into an automatic pilot mode. Then my "monkey brain" gets bored and into mischief. By cycling from 10 back to 1, I have to think just enough to keep my mischievous monkey brain occupied.

What a deceptively simple set of instructions, yet so effective.

I agree that it's the deep breathing that produces the altered state of consciousness. I really like your system of counting breaths to ten. It nicely helps focus on my breaths.

You're an excellent writer. That's going to be a good book.
