Yes indeed, Felis Draco...they can be tasty  - though in my zest for new tasty applesauce recipes - I have made a few that were not so - ummm - appetizing ;o) Those I have been able to use in applesauce cakes and muffins.

Have purchased a wood burning tool, so am busy practicing with that...though nothing of any real photographic worth has yet to be produced...my working with the pen held dremel tool is progressing slowly...spring, summer and fall wild craft gathering keep me pretty busy...at the moment am a applesauce artisan :o) last night was ginger/raisin applesauce, now nicely tucked away in the freezer. Tonight is cinnamon/clove/nutmeg applesauce...

Netting sounds like a really cool interest John! I have seen videos on how to make simple nets with paracord string and the rope that can be found inside climbing rope? I don't know how strong that would be though. I am going to give it a try once I remeber to buy some more paracord. There is a lot of work involved. Kind of like weaving a navaho blanket (which i tried.....and failed.) :).
