You're into jazz, world music, and instrumental stuff. Ever listen to Bela Fleck and The Flecktones? That's pretty much what they play, with some blue grass, funk, and folk styes adding to the mix.

There are many, many bands/artists that I love. There are so far four groups that barely stand out a little more as favorites. They are in no particular order, Tool, Rush, Led Zeppelin, and The Dresden Dolls. But really it all boils down to this: there are two types of music, good music and bad music. Good music is true art, something where the musician really puts part of themselves into what they do. A lot of it has to do with the delivery of a particular performance. This can be accomplished by one person strumming three power chords on a guitar and singing, or by the most complex, progressive, polyrhythmic, cross-genre compositions. As long as it truly has feel, and the performer means what they play, it will probably move me. Bad music lacks that quality, and is often thrown together cookie-cutter crap which is pandering to a select market to make money. In other words, most of the stuff on top 40 radio. There are numerous examples of both good and bad stuff in every genera and style that exists.
