About Me:
I'm a Shaman looking for Heathens who understand and follow the Old Ways.

My name is "Mundilfoeri", and I am the Shaman of the Fimbultýr Kindred of the Skatalund Assembly of Kindreds. I hail from the lineage of Aethulwulf, Chieftain of the Saxons, father of Alfred the Great, King of the West Saxons; of William I, Viking Duke of Normandy; and of Rat-her, a Noble Advisor of the Franks; thus belonging to the Germanic tribes of the Saxons, Danes, and Franks, and the Slavic Tribe of the Wends. My surname "Raether" is found in the Raido rune, holding the meaning of "advisor, counselor" and symbolizes the seasonal wheel.

I am also President/CEO of the International Nordic Tribal Association, Inc., a nonprofit organization incorporated under Chapter 82 of the the laws of the State of Nevada, for the purposes of religious and educational activities related to the practice of the Northern Euro-Shamanic Tradition, to promote, preserve, and protect, the practice, growth, and advancement of the ethnic ancient tribal Tradition of Our Ancestors, the indigenous Germanic, Celtic, Baltic, Slavic, and Finno-Ugric Tribes, collectively known today as the Northern European Peoples.

I am a trained Vitki under the instruction of the Denali Institute of Northern Traditions, and I, of course, received most of my instruction under the guidance of Odin when I was chosen by him to take this path of teaching and helping others as a Shaman.

I taught "Heathenism" classes for a period of 10 years in Colorado, and had literally thousands of people asking me to teach them, via correspondence, the True Path of Heathenism as it was practiced in prehistoric Northern Europe. At first I handled these requests by letter; however, that became a grueling task in and of itself. When I told people that I just couldn't do that anymore, I was asked to write a book to teach the Old Heathen Tradition. So for all those who desired to learn …

I am in the process of publishing three books, which are in various stages of publication and copyright.

The first is called "“NORTHERN EUROPEAN SHAMANISM: THE ORIGIN, PRACTICE, AND BELIEFS OF OLD HEATHENISM”. The intent of this book is to clarify and identify the Old Heathen Tradition, "Forn Siðr", known today as the Northern Euro-Shamanic Tradition (NEST), for those who desire to follow this Shamanic Path of the Northern European Tribal Peoples. This path is for those who desire the "traditional" culture, and life, of our Northern European/Indo-European Ancestors, passed down from generation to generation. This book covers topics that are usually ignored by other authors. I talk about the prehistoric origin of this Tradition and how it migrated; the actual practices (no judeo-christian influenced non-sense; and of course the beliefs as they were meant to be ... acknowledging the passing of the seasons; the beliefs of the soul and ancestors; seasonal and non-seasonal rites and the groves, implements, garb used; the Shamanic calendar; the Germanic Creation myth and its reinterpretation; the Germanic Virtues; The Meanings of the Germanic Myths and Lore; and of course Herbal Magic. All of this is found in association with the Proto-Caucasoids' art and cultural practrices discovered between the areas of Siberia and Spain.

The second book is that of "“PROTO-CAUCASOIDS, THE FIRST AMERICANS: THEIR ORIGIN, MIGRATION, AND CULTURE -- THE PALEOLITHIC AND MESOLITHIC PERIODS”. This book deals with the Proto-Caucasoids (Cro-Magnon) and their culture, beginning with the oldest archaeological site found, dating at circa 500,000 B.C.E. in the Americas. Leading into a migration period when they arrived in Northeast Asia (Siberia) at circa 66,000 B.C.E., finally ending this movement in Europe at circa 38,000 B.C.E.. This culture is exhibited by specific tools, weapons, art, burial rites, etc., which are now being associated with the same in Europe.

The third book is that of "“PROTO-CAUCASOIDS, THE FIRST AMERICANS: THEIR ORIGIN, MIGRATION, AND CULTURE -- THE NEOLITHIC THROUGH IRON AGE PERIODS”. The prehistoric migration of the Proto-Caucasoids left a cultural zone between Lake Baikal in Asia and the Black Sea in Europe, which I have dubbed the "Trans-American-Eurasian Cultural Continnum". Within this cultural zone lived the Proto-Indo-Siberians and Proto-Indo-Europeans during the Neaolithic and later periods. It is from this zone that all of the peoples of Europe, Asia (Central, Northeast and Southeast), the Amerindians, and the peoples of Micronesia, developed during cultural periods known as Chalcolithic, Eneolithic, Bronze and Iron Ages. Hence, the tribes of these areas evolved into what we know today as modern civilization.

What kind of Pagan are you?
created with
You scored as Shamanic Pagan

A shamanic pagan's roots are generally found in Native American faith. A true love and respect for the earth and all that it yields is central to their faith. Wisdom is most often found in spirit guides or totems, who can be animals, ancestors, or spirits. Pagans who follow this path tend to be far more aware of the delicate web that interweaves the lives of every person and thus move within that web accordingly. They're usually deeply insightful, friendly, loving people and excellent friends and parents. Mysterious and strong, as well, they are often the protectors of their friends and family as well as the moral compass for their friends and loved ones.

The above Shamanic Pagan test is really cool, and in many regards it is very correct. However, the origin of Shamanic Pagan or even Shamanic Heathen roots do not lie with the American Indian Faith. As you will see throughout my profile, and on my group site "Northern Euro-Shamanic Tradition", the origin is actually found among the Proto-Caucasoid people of the Upper Paleolithic period in Eurasia, which then spread throughout all of Europe, Asia (Central, Northeast, and Southeast), and from the southern branches spreading into Micronesia and from the northern branches spreading into the Americas with the Amerindians at about 1500 B.C.E..
