I've been through a very ugly two years. Divorce, teenagers, depression (and not just my own), and betrayal. Like Forest Gump, I ran as far as I could. I detached myself from my family, causing even more pain for my children. I ran until I found myself standing on the cliff, looking down at the rocks below. I feared I had direction to go but down.
Then, I looked up. There She was, shining her guiding light upon me. I finally opened myself back up to Her, feeling Her warmth, patience and love. That was when I found a path that I hadn't seen before. Yes, it still runs close to that cliff, but I can feel it getting farther and farther away.
It is The Mother's guidance that has saved me. Now, I seek the guidance of others, so that I may return my love and gratitude. Being a solitary practitioner, I question myself, and accept that I need knowledge from those more experienced.
I also realize that I lack real socialization. My coworkers are like family, but I never see them on the outside. I have my real family, but when you live with them... I yearn for the family found amongst my religion.
As most Leos, I don't just like something, I LOVE it! I am a HUGE fan of Harry Potter, Nora Roberts, and Elizabeth Lowell. I don't know that I can choose my favorites!
Beliefs / Practices
Pagan, Witch, Wiccan
I typically choose the naming of the Godess based upon my intent. Again, I'm not really experienced, and use google a lot when looking for instruction. My birth sign is fire, but my clarity is found amongst water. I tend to lean toward the Greek and Nordic Godesses, mostly because I can pronounce their names. But, also because that's where I feel pulled.
Books, work, books, nail art, reading, cooking and books.
Aside from the obvious, I'd have to say my mom. She is my ting and yang, as she is who made me as I am today. With her, I am mother and daughter. In both, there is warmth, love, protection and compassion. There's also discipline, lessons we may not want to learn, and tough love.
How did you find PaganSpace?
I looked for Indiana pagan circles on FB.
