Other Beliefs/Practices
Spirituality and education are paramount in my life. I hold a deep regard for the universe, and regard deities in both a macrocosmic (or across cultural barriers, the big archetypal divinities) , and a microcosmic (or specific to cultural geographies, histories, genealogies) context. I am influenced by mythology, tibetan buddhism, taoism, shamanism, chaos, necromancy, witchcraft, gnosticism, satanism, and natural magic. Increasing interest in Afro-caribbean religions and returning to my roots in Celtic Paganism.

I honor my ancestors and the gods. I am currently working with Celtic/Welsh and Norse deities.

Additional interests: Gnosticism, Taoism, Satanism, shamanism, druidry, mythology, archaeology, anthropology, ancient mysteries, history, psychology, art, religion, spirituality, orphism, stoicism, hermeticism; also vampires and otherkin.
Illustration, gardening, gourmet cooking, writing, reading. Belly-dancing.

You are The High Priestess

Science, Wisdom, Knowledge, Education.

The High Priestess is the card of knowledge, instinctual, supernatural, secret knowledge. She holds scrolls of arcane information that she might, or might not reveal to you. The moon crown on her head as well as the crescent by her foot indicates her willingness to illuminate what you otherwise might not see, reveal the secrets you need to know. The High Priestess is also associated with the moon however and can also indicate change or fluxuation, particularily when it comes to your moods.

You Scored as Ancient Dragon

Dragon: Now talk about a legend. These magnificent creatures are of many species. Some can be as large as the Earth itself, while others are as small as a mouse. One image that comes to everyone's mind is the large, fire breathing Dragons that loathed humans and loved to sleep on massive piles of gold. Not all dragons have a bad reputation. Most dragons are very wise, caring, and protective. It would make a person very lucky indeed to meet a dragon. Especially if they walked away untouched. I admire your wisdom, for you are the Ancient Dragon.

What Mythological Creature are you? (Cool Pics!)
You scored as Water

Your pentacle point is Water! You can adapt to any situation, are charismatic, fluid and vibrant but, like the tides, your emotions run high and low. You can be smooth and reflective like a summer pond on a clear day or tempestuous and unreadable like the stormy sea! You choose your friends with care and they in turn enjoy your soothing, protective presence but avoid your stormy side!

Some thoughts about humanity

Posted on July 15, 2011 at 1:37am 2 Comments

I was browsing some topics under a facebook pagan group and a question was posed about what it is we like or don't like about being human. As long as I could remember I have had a love-hate relationship with the idea of humanity. I'm very much into the subject of reincarnation and am a firm believer that humans have never truly been alone here on Earth. And I've never really thought of myself as a human. Granted its one thing in manifest form, but in spirit its an entirely different subject.…

Return to Paganspace.

I had been away from here for over a year and then one day decided to return. I'm trying to become more active on this site seeing as it is such a great way of connecting with others in the pagan community at large. Also I noticed a lot more good groups. Hopefully will find some good discourse on a number of subjects through them. I should have ample time while on bed rest.

Nature-lovers versus the Lawn Nazi

Posted on May 25, 2010 at 2:36am 2 Comments

My husband and I are avid plant lovers and gardeners. We go to different nurseries, sometimes local and sometimes across a few states (to Seedsavers, for instance in Decorah, IA), to find what we're looking for. Its taken several years but we've managed to transform our small backyard into a semi-paradise rife with lush greenery. This year the roses are exceptional, the arbor is covered in grapevine, roses of sharon flank the neighbors, and there's even a garden with berries. We recently went… Continue

Quiet outdoor meditations on nature and fertility

Posted on April 12, 2010 at 2:49am 2 Comments

Craving some vitamin D, yesterday I went outside to prune the bushes. Afterwards, took some of the evergreen clippings, and weaved flowers and mint into them, to create a garland and a wreath. Then sat on the porch for a while, listening to the squirrels and the traffic. Off to the right the sun was beaming with the loveliest hues as it descended for the night. As I sat there I felt myself sinking into my core and into the concrete below (and the earth below that). For the first time in my life… Continue

Recollections about the growing season, and past associations thereof

Posted on March 9, 2010 at 7:00pm 0 Comments

Its been several months since I had anything noteworthy to post here. Even if I had many things that were noteworthy, the winter seems to have forced me into a state of internal withdrawal. Perhaps on some level we as people also hibernate on occasion - sinking down into the depths of ourselves, far from the noise of civilization and society for some down time. Some of us take more than others.

Gazing out at this hazy, bluish, late winter Missouri sky,…

Well, I suppose I'm sort of a transplant. I transplanted to the Pensacola area in 2002 after growing up here in St. Louis, and then I transplanted back again.. lol

So how long have you lived here then?
