A couple of days ago I sent a plea to my beautiful pagans to help my husband by sending any light they could his way. I know that many of you did so. I also received your messages with other words of wisdom and advice on money issues. You know who you are. Let me just say that I haven't known most of you for more than a month but you really came through for me. My husband called last night and is doing very well. Definitely a 110% improvement. The protection spell for the negative energy and… Continue

Long effing day today....somewhere in all of it, I have one final paper to finish and turn in before the end of the day. its the paper on the Electric Car issue, which deals with potential marketing strategies utilizing eCommerce methodologies. Ok. Big deal. I can write this paper in my fucking sleep. But it needs to get done TODAY. That will leave two days to handle a 40-question Final Exam, which I found out is multiple guess. Again, BFD. I just need to get the stuff DONE. The next class… Continue

Wow. Thats all I can really say.
My first festival ever! I was a little startled by all the boobs and penises I saw at first, but after seeing so many the weirdness wears off.
The first thing I noticed was that I was way under (or maybe over?) dressed. People were running around in fairy costumes, sarongs, nothing- and I had jeans and t-shirts. I did bring my sarong, but was surprised to see that I would end up fitting in! I bought a fairy dress the first… Continue

Animal Symbolism in Celtic Mythology
by Lars Noodén
Animals in Celtic and Welsh mythology are tied in with fertility and vitality, because they are living, moving, and growing. They also provide vitality and continued life for the tribes through their meat, skins, and bones. In addition, they are a connection to the realm of spirits and the gods. This connection is seen through their use in the hunt, search for secrets and wisdom.
Specific animals have… Continue

Importance of Second Chances
When we meet someone for the first time, we often create a defining image in our minds of who that person is. We may also determine whether or not that someone is worth getting to know. Sometimes when an initial interaction is particularly uncomfortable or challenging, we can decide to close our hearts to this new acquaintance entirely. But being too quick to judge can cause us to lose out on a potentially wonderful, enriching relationship. First… Continue

This is a brief commentary from another site. I'll get around to expanding in it probably this weekend.
On pages 106 and 107 of Mark Cohen's book Cultic Calendars, discussing the Nippur month of du-ku, there is commentary about Enlil's ancestors. Duku is the 7th month in Nippur, named for the Sacred Mounds and the festival to them. The Sacred Mound is described as the place where Enlil's ancestors dwelt. "There laments were like laments which Enlil's ancestors perform in the… Continue

On this day in ancient times, the god Mars was honored by the farmers of Rome with feasts, prayers, animal sacrifices, and annual rites of purification. The Ambarvalia festival was also celebrated on this day in honor of Ceres, Juno, the Lares, and the Family Goddesses.

Today the journey begins anew for life is about the journey not the destination. It is the process by which we learn, live, breath, and create. It is the essence of our existence. For life is a process, we are born, we live, and we die, only to be reborn again and the process to begin anew.
