First there is a mountain...

Mountain - Resistance and perceived difficulty. The results of bad temper or anger.

Imagine standing, looking at a mountain, knowing you are going to have to climb it. Okay, for some people, mountain climbing is an enjoyable sport, but if you fall into that category, chances are you have still felt daunted by the prospect at times. Perhaps you thought "I'm afraid the weather is against me today," or "It looks…

Then & Now

During our move I stumbled across my first pentacle (pictured on the left). I was twenty-three when I made it. The stone is red sandstone. It came from the platform where Allen and I stood to get married. I don't even remember what the runes were supposed to represent. And glitter? The only explanations I can think of for doing that might be a) it was due to the books I was reading and/or pagan crowd I was running with at the time,…

In the Doghouse of the Raven Queen

Babh can be a loving goddess. At least to me. She encourages me to call Her Grandmother and seldom treats me with anything but gentleness. She gives few commands, preferring to permit me to figure things out for myself and do as I think is necessary. She knows that sometimes I learn best by falling off my broomstick and flat onto my ass.

She is tolerant. She doesn't see some of my less commendable personality traits as flaws per se. They're part of me and I'll…

Poetry: Come One, Come All

Wild horses and leopards,

Come one, Come all,

To the places that are left for you

Beneath the falls.

Tigers and bears,

And lions too,

Come see the tears

That I shed for you.

Dragons and unicorns,

Myths all,

Come see my imagination

Make the final call.

Come one, Come all

I've made up my mind,

I won't let you die

Just because…

First Flood

After Rose posted about the 5 post a day rule (of which I am glad you did – I don’t want to steal others’ thunder), I decided to condense in to long posts. So enjoy and until next time!!!

The Neteru cradle us in our mortal bodies,

Loved are those who are cradled,

If we learn to embrace them back, we find family.

The Neteru sing lullabies to teach us their ways,

Privileged are those who hear their voices,

If we chose to listen and…

Road trips and being published...

My boyfriend's sister is getting married in June, so we're headed for Red River, NM. I'm excited with some trepidation--I don;t handle altitude well, and Red River is a bit higher than what I can handle. Doc gave me a fix...said take half a pill to control anxiety. He thinks altitude sickness isn't a real issue, just a trick of the mind.

I hope he feels it hardcore someday, so he knows.

Anyway, it will be an opportunity for me to sleep. That's all I wanna do,…

Accepting the Salmon's Gifts

Some time ago I wrote about the Salmon in the Weir. I referred to a dream I had, where I felt that I was being told to capture the salmon, which is a symbol of knowledge, by writing down my dreams, and other possible revelations, from things like card readings or meditation journeys. Many of us love the written word, me included - although I also recognise that it has limitations and can also create…

Who Do You Think You Are?

Who Do You Think You Are?

We have spoken in your past about the importance of remembering who you are. It is indeed especially difficult in linear times.

The remembering and rediscovery of who you are as a soul remains a central focus in your journey. However, now we would like to add the continuing importance of how you think of yourself as well.

As beings, the relationship with your created environment remains critical. If you place value upon your physical self, you…

Turfs Wars take all forms and the various uniforms of Sin City

By Royal Hopper

What do you think when you see a woman wearing pink shoes, a multicolored striped skirt, short enough to draw looks from even the most righteous casino visitor, big red-orange sun glasses and ‘’’’ughhhh …..assets to make any girl envious????

I walked by the woman three times trying to figure out what team she played for and what her occupation was and you know I never did.

It’s part of the allure of the City of Sin. Things that would often what would…
