Summer Solstice Weekend

Dear Everyone

I had a nice weekend and a busy week. I visited my parents, saw the Incredible Hulk which was exciting, and played guitar with my uncle Peter. Plus I did a Summer Solstice ritual with my parents although they are not pagan like me. It was fun and connected me to The Goddess The God and The Great Spirit. I played music with Liz on Wed for six hours which was fun (we play guitar together). Today I had a good AA meeting and then met briefly with my friend Matt. Recently I… Continue

Walking The Red Road June 30

I appeal to any white man to say if he ever entered Logan’s cabin hungry, and he gave him not

meat; if he ever came cold and naked , and he clothed him not. During the course of the last long

and bloody war, Logan remained idle in his cabin , an advocate for peace.

Employing Presence

Being Present At Work

Being present at work begins before we even go to our place of employment. It starts with our intention to bring consciousness into everything we do, including those activities we do for money. Whether you are a secretary who files papers all day, a janitor who cleans the local high school, or a nurse caring for children, there is much to be gained by fully engaging in the tasks at hand. When you decide to bring your presence into your work activities, you may… Continue

it was our belief

It was our belief that the love of possessions is a weakness to be overcome. Its appeal is to the material part, and if allowed its way, it will in time disturb one's spiritual balance. Therefore, children must early learn the beauty of generosity. They are taught to give what they prize most, that they may taste the happiness of giving.

funny for the day!-pagan football

Heard one night on Between the Worlds Radio, WIKA...

Bob: For those of you who have just joined us, this has been one hell of a game! The Salem Witches, led by the ferocious play of Sven Gahrinnson, a huge Asatru defensive end, have taken a 21-14 lead over the Bethany Baptists.

Sam: That's right, Bob. Sven's a force, but Bethany's quarterback Paul Damascus has been throwing passes with all the zeal of an evangelist passing out tracts on Judgement Day. Leading… Continue

~crone wisdom~

I am one with my father and the universe.

I am one with mother earth.

I am one with everyone within the reach of my voice.

And, in this togetherness,
we ask the divine intelligence to eradicate all
negatives from our hearts, from our minds,
from our words, and from our actions.

And, so be it.

paganspace is addicting....LOL!

Have to admit that until I found this site , I couldn't understand how someone could sit for hours in front of a piece of plastic without getting antsy. Please don't get me wrong, I'd check my email a few times a week but I guess juggling work, (school at the time), other people's drama and just wanting to be in Nature for the serenity, I just always had more pressing issues to deal with .

I can see how this can become so addicting, especially with finding Paganspace and so many interesting… Continue

Wiccan Ethics

My latest class has been on Wiccan ethics. I began writing my essay on the subject and before I knew it, I'd written a few pages! I know about a year ago I attempted to sit down and write something about ethics but I just could not find the right words. To me this shows that my journey in my studies is definitely changing something within me. I was showing a friend of mine (she believes in the general principles of Witchcraft but she really doesn't practice) the essays and photo log of work… Continue

Lithatide Blessing

Here comes the Solstice of Summer,
And with its coming, turns the Wheel.
Now is the time to celebrate as a mummer,
And tell your loved ones how you feel.

Please be merry this Mid-Summer's Eve,
Have no dark thoughts and put ill-will at bay.
In peace, let everyone together cleave,
And blessed be on Mid-Summer's Day.

Together we walk into the light

Turning and smiling

Heart filled with doubt

Stumble back and run with all my might

A love so grand and strong

Turns to be illusion

How could I know

It would all bleed wrong

Light calls you on depraved wings

My destiny not aligned

Darkness my fate

Too many unsaid things

Where to go from here I know not

Too many questions

No answers to be had

Why I love you, I… Continue

Ghostly China Doll

Located on Kelley's Island here on Lake Erie The Himmelein House was built around 1859 by Johann Himmelein. I never really knew anything about this house beyond the fact that it was vacant, immaculate, intriguing to look at and was located right next door to the summer home of my best friend in high school.

I loved this house.

It was late summer and I was 16 years old. I took the ferry over to meet up with a friend and… Continue

Moon Goddess (poetry)

Heya to all my favorite pagans out there! hope you are well in whatever your endeavors are in this hot summer weather! The other night I zoomed out of town to get away from the lights and sounds of the city and sat on a hill with small bonfire and bugspray! (dont worry all you that follow the Buddhist path it wasnt too toxic!) and while gazing at the moon in all of her might I came up with this poem. While I've written poems about our mother moon before this one has a special place in my own… Continue
