The Deal's Off!

My heart goes out to the brothers and sisters at Standing Rock. I wish for a peaceful resolution and send peaceful vibes daily.

In my culture it has always been about Mother Earth and all the elements that sustain life on this earth. It is the reason I am following the Wiccan path..  Nature is my church!

Here is a video by a local gentlemen from a First Nations down the highway from me. He is now at Standing Rock and I am following his posts on Facebook. But I thought I would…

Crystal Care: Cleansing Unwanted Energies

Note: I originally posted this blog entry on the Crystals By Nature website. It is being republished here with their permission.

When I first started working with crystals, my good friend told me a story about her Malachite necklace. It was given to her as a gift, and she loved the deep, rich green color and wore it daily. One of the places she frequented regularly was the state…

The Stars of Autumn

This week here on The Spiral Dance, let's look skyward and see what's up there.

Every season brings different views of the Heavens, and Autumn is no different. And, the Stars of Autumn bring their own stories and myths. So to start this week, I have a poem written back in 1819 by the English Romantic poet, John Keats. In his poem, "To Autumn" he captures the feeling and spirit of this season.

Then we'll talk a bit about Astronomy itself, and one view of how…

Merry Meet,

As All Hollows Eve comes around, we are going to bring in new Initiates into the Coven. I have begone to write a new Initiation Ceremony for Warriors for the Goddess. This has proven to be harder then I thought. I have 4 new Initiates at different levels of growth, but we are all beginning in a new Journey and this is something we need to bring forth as our own.

I wish for the ceremony to be something to remember and something that will touch the hearts of those…

About angels

Angels are celestial beings made of Pure Light (or flame). We all know that definition, but what is more…angels are real beings, divine care takers of earth and humanity, of all forms of life, not just in our sphere, but in many more divine galaxies. They live in cosmic perfection, in pure divine light world(s), close to God. They are very special beings, living in higher realms and highest dimension…

Holidays for the Witches Who Aren't Celtic

Let's face it. Lot's of people, witches included, love to celebrate. But, with the holidays being based around the Celtic, what's a secular witch to do? Well, use the names and traditions that we're used to, which are Celtic (there's no problem with that), or maybe something similar, yet a bit more divisive. Here's my take on the Witch's Holidays.…

The Beginning

I began keeping a spiritual journal earlier this year to organize ideas for my practice. I find that having a Pantheist view of spirituality poses inherent challenges when considering certain ideas of Pagan practice. How does ritual fit in? Do I believe in magick? Is the Wheel of the Year (or the Sabbats and Esbats) relevant to my lifestyle? How I will I focus my attention?

I've decided to utilize writing as a way to solidify my ideas as they occur. Periodically, it will be my…

New and Learning - A Backstory of Me

About two weeks ago I started my 366 days of study before dedication to Wicca.

Back story, growing up I never went to church until I was about 15.  Around then, my parents decided we needed to start going to church and becomes confirmed and baptized.  Never doing all of those classes and all of those hours in the pews did I feel spiritually connected- not a single time.

I looked in to Wicca in high school and my Lutheran parents deemed it Devil's work and I was…
