Something that has been on my mind: I keep seeing and hearing about former Pagans that leave their faith due to drug use.

I keep seeing and hearing about former Pagans that leave their faith due to drug use which to me is strange because the first rule the Gods taught me was to love myself and avoid things that hurt me.

I guess the question I am real asking is if drugs are such a big deal in the Pagan community why haven't I seen or heard if for myself?

Disclaimer: I have no problem with people changing their faith and I know that some Pagans do use drugs.

Podshow 093: Samhain (Part II) - Its Still a Spooky Night

Hope its been an excellent Samhain Eve for everyone! Continuing with the two part talk on Samhain. This time, I'm focusing on the concept of venerating those who have gone before us on this Path -- and not just those who have passed on.

Spoken word segment is my own poem "Lone Wolf: High Above the Tree Line"

First music segment is "A Rabbit For Halloween" by Marc Gunn. Marc's music can be found at http://www.marcgunn.com/. The second… Continue

I call God Pappa

It has been cold. Not unseasonably cold, but suddenly. It has been warm to the point of being hot then suddenly it snowed and then it's been colder than a Wiccan's breats. But that's weather in Colorado for you. Never the less, I decided to go walking yesterday evening before sun down. To say it was brisk would be an under statement. My nose was actually numb.

I walk one block, sometimes more but not when my lips are freezing together. I plugged in Lady Gaga and the Pussy Cat Dolls and… Continue

Rude Pagans

For the most part, the pagans that I've met have all been kind, decent people. But every once and a while, you meet a jerk.

Take the following conversation that I had on CovenSpace.

I posted a simple enough thread in the Indiana forum looking for pagans close by:

Merry meet! I'm new to Covenspace, and was wondering who was in the Richmond / Wayne County area. I'm a solitary, eclectic witch (male), but I wouldn't mind celebrating Sabbats with an open circle.… Continue

Things I have learned/accepted recently(Note these are my personal views/beliefs):

Things I have learned/accepted recently(Note these are my personal views/beliefs):

1. I have leaned/accepted that proving my gift is pointless and the people that I am supposed to help will find me.

2. I have learned that sometimes the more you think you know about something the less you truly know.

3. I have leaned/accepted that I will never know everything and somethings need to be accepted as faith.

Please remember the Gods do answer prayers if… Continue

im feeling crafty

well ive been bored lately, and i decided that I need to persue some hobbies. i already know how to make jewelry, so im thinking i can expand on that. i already know some wire wrapping, and im thinking of getting into moldable metal clay, or polymer clay. i dont have the money for the jewelers tools it would take to make really fine jewelry, but then again, im not looking into this just to sell the pieces. ive also considered candle making, and a few other ideas, because i know how to crochet,… Continue

A Short Story - A Halloween Revelation

A Halloween Revelation

Aylin looked around. Where was he? Ronan’s name certainly fitted him well; like the slippery little seal (Ronan is Gaelic for “little seal”) in the dark waters of the sea he was capable of sliding in and out the darkness; one minute he was there the next he disappeared. Twilight was far behind them and the midnight hour was fast approaching. She was cold and tired and found the night too long. They still had another two hours to go; as far as she could see from… Continue

The Raven's way...

Observe the Raven Spirit. I would not call her a familiar. She chooses to appear when I need grounding. I would not call her a guide but she sets me on the path to guidance. I cannot call her my pet as who can own something untamed, wild and free.

The Raven Spirit has been with me from my early days of my pagan studies. An old friend introduced me to her and through her I learned to learn. Now she is a fleeting and returning part of my consciousness. Apart of reminding me of that… Continue

The Collapse of Detroit: Ground Zero for the Globalist’s Deindustrialization Agenda

The Collapse of Detroit: Ground Zero for the Globalist’s Deindustrialization Agenda

Aaron Dykes

October 30, 2009

“Isn’t the only hope for the planet that the industrialized civilizations collapse? Isn’t it our responsibility to bring that about?” – Maurice Strong, 1992

It’s a history where the bankers have embedded themselves into the economy, building up infrastructure for a time, then bringing down the system within the… Continue

Samhain 2009

Darkness obscures the desolation I feel and restless winds won't let me sleep. I feel Samhain coming in with a crashing sense of inevitability that drives all before it like so many falling leaves in the cold autumnal rain. The trees are blackened by the rain as they stand gaunt and skeletal before the sunrise bruising the Eastern sky. There is a scent of sweet decay in the air, a strange yet all too familiar October smell that combines the… Continue

Grandma got run over by a broomstick...

Grandma got ran over by a broomstick

> Walking home from our house Halloween.

> Now you can say there's no such thing as witches.

> But as for me and grandpa, we believe.

> She'd consumed too many spirits.

> And we begged and begged her not to go.

> But she'd forgot her Belladonna,

> So she sashayed right out the door, we didn't know.

> When they found her the next morning

> At the scene of the… Continue

Trick or Treating by your zodiac

Trick or Treating by your star sign...

# Aries pushes the others aside to get to the door first.

# Taurus will only eat the finest of Swiss chocolates.

# Gemini goes around the neighborhood once, changes costumes and goes around again.

# Cancer stays at home and gives candy to the other trick-or-treaters.

# Leo plans their costume for months, then won't go out because someone else had the same idea.

# Virgo wears a neatly-pressed suit and tells everyone they're a… Continue

i was getting some pumpkins and leaving the first store(didn't find any there) I met a man in the parkinglot who asked me if i had a dollar. At first I just said no, because my initial reaction is usually to avoid contact with people I don't know, but as i got to my car I realized I did have a dollar, and it didn't really matter what he was going to use it for, I was better off assuming he would use it well, than doubting him and assuming he would squander it. So I caught up to him and handed… Continue
