the portable altar is nearly complete. just found my athame last night on etsy. it is beautiful. its a dragon head with a removable tongue that doubles as an athame. the tongue is the handle and i got one that instead of the typical silver tone, it has been coated with a milefori pattern which is red. it is so adorable. im waiting on that, my mala, my rosary and my disciples cross to arrive. ive ordered some black salt from my local pagan store and am waiting for that shipment to come in. Ive got a bunch of healing stones gathered. and my mini bell, pentagram, tarot cards, shell and meditation oil. still have to get holy water but that isnt hard. my whole altar is nearly complete and small enough to fit on a hospital tray. i ran the whole list by the hospital admin and they said there is no problem with anything im bringing. considering my blade is not sharp at all, and nothing is flammable or offensive. i am so excited. it makes me so happy that i dont have to worry about this anymore. the hard part is just waiting for my last minute arrivals to get here. my mom is picking me up a pocket angel on one of her various hospital trips in the next couple days, cause she has checkups and blood work due to monitor her lupus. now ijust need to pack for my stay, which is easy cause ive narrowed down what i need to take with me to just the bare essentials. gotta love my ocd list making. it comes in handy sometimes.
