I try to meditate each day.

But I have a problem. I loose focus and start dreaming. I don't think I'm sleeping, because I'm mostly conscious, but I'm not really in control either. Sometimes I can bring my awareness back to what I was doing, but usually, I loose it again.

And I don't remember what I was dreaming so well. Last night, there was a grandmother figure giving me food, but thats all I remember.

I don't know if I'm actually falling asleep, or if I'm getting myself into some sort of trance or what is going on.

I have alot of the same problems with meditating as you do....there are times I let my mind go where-ever..but other times I try to focus on what Im doing by purposely relaxing all parts of my body and mind. What's so hard for me at times is that my mind races and goes in several different directions...I have to calm my mind and get it back where it needs to be..not always easy as my mind and body have a hard time stilling...try music like enya or any soothing music that calms you.
Blessings
