About Me:

I've only recently come to accept that paganism is the path that I seem to be walking down; a converted Christian, I spent a long time feeling wholly sound of mind in the church, worshipping the triune deity of the Bible. However, recent events have led me to believe that paganism is my spiritual home.

A nankeen kestrel therian, I believe that the soul is many-layered. I believe that we all have a 'hole' in our soul; this hole is a little like a mouth, and it forever sings a song that we can't hear, but that our souls can. I believe that our souls are singing to our soul mates. Once we find and marry (or 'handfast') our soulmates, I believe that the hole closes because the soul mates exchange a piece of their soul with one another.

I believe that part of our soul is inextricably connected to nature, and that this is where therianthropy comes from: I believe that all souls are 'tied', if you will, to the flora and the fauna of the world. I believe that we are all capable of hearing the sigh of an old tree, feeling the wisdom of an ancient cave or sharing in the determined joy of a starling's first flight by focusing on and meditating on this connection within our soul.

I'm a dreamer and I'm whimsical. I take so many things for granted. I adore children and I hope to some day have my own. I believe that life is about love, and that love is about hope, and that hope is about life: it's a circle. I'm a nursing student (currently studying a diploma - I hope to eventually obtain a bachelor's degree), as I feel a strong desire to care for those who cannot care for themselves.

I'm certainly a 'noob' in terms of paganism, but I'm absorbing the information I find at a rapid rate. I think that a little bit of healthy respect for spirits, be they deity, dryad or demon, is only a good thing - I would not want to get on the bad side of either Hecate or Baba Yaga, even if the latter is only a folk character!

Thought generates energy, and energy gives way to life.
