About Me:
Ahh this is one of those things that I'll get to later. Besides anything I say about myself cannot be considered accurate as it is written by a biased author who thinks I am the greatest thing since the invention of the spork.
Favorite Books
Ishmael - Daniel Quinn, Stranger in a strange land, Inside the atom - Stephen Hawking, Cosmos - Carl Sagan, Ascent of Man - Jacob Bronowski
Beliefs / Practices
Spiritual but not Religious, Other Spirituality
Other Beliefs/Practices
Quantum Physics, Metaphysics, Science

Science and Religion are simply the two sides to one coin. Perhaps if the two would stop so vehemently trying to disprove the other they might be able to prove each other right. Oh yeah and I am a member of the Cult of Foamy.. best religion ever!
Anyone that stands up against what they feel is wrong. It takes courage to be the one little voice in the wind. You are pummeled for believing differently. It has always been that way. But inside all of us is a flame of dignity. An ember of the divine spark that guides us, but first we have to kindle that flame and breathe life into it and let it grow. Those times of darkness before the flame takes light are the darkest. "All it takes for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing"

Where's the cheese?

Still running this maze of the cave/cage. This has been going on for days now. So far I find that there is no truth anymore. Totally humorous. I found this today...

The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been two hundred years.

These nations have progressed through this sequence:…

Lovely article on Palin and her religious debacle.

Other than that I just don't have much to say today except that once again I am reminded why I became a hermit.

Inside Ishmael's Cage...

Inside Ishmael's Cage or Plato's cave it doesn't matter. We are all truly prisoners of our society. Too often I have heard. Well its not perfect but its the best we've got. True, but it is not the best we can obtain. The greatest minds in the world seem to offer no answers, Why? Is it because they continue to work with models of pre-existing design that are inherently flawed. Perhaps what is needed is a true "start over" A new design of the system. How can that be achieved?

First week almost done...

Posted on November 7, 2010 at 6:17pm 0 Comments

Only about 75 hours this week. Mild compared to what is coming over the next five I am sure. Perhaps I am just being grumpy about that, but I am finding myself more and more annoyed at the discussion boards. Have met a couple nice people from there though so it isn't ALL bad.

The thing that irks me is all the nay-saying. If I did not believe in the Christian God then I wouldn't go to church. If I didn't like swimming I wouldn't be jumping in lakes or joining aquatic…

And so it begins...

Here I am ready to face it! Six weeks with no day off ahead of me. Massive overtime is scheduled. The boss's checkbook is wide open. Being issued a phone so that I can be reached day and night. My gas will be covered by the company. I go to bed tonight and get up early (at least for me) to start it off with at least a 13 hour day at the very start. By my calculations I will hit 80 hours per week easy... THANK ALL ENERGY that I am not salaried!

To those I chat with.. I will…
