An Idyllic Summer

Posted on July 31, 2008 at 3:21pm 0 Comments

What a beautiful day to be alive! The ocean of green that stuffs the eye with wonder when wandering the woods or a quiet city lane, the shimmer of heat rising from the earth, bringing moisture up to where it condenses into billowing thunderheads that flicker with lightning and return the purple rains to the thirsty soils beneath. Our deck garden thrives with 23 different flowering plants, four veggie plants and three fruits. Our freezer fills with local organic berries and veggies; our… Continue

The Cost of Liberation

Posted on March 15, 2008 at 11:37pm 0 Comments

The night is quiet, finally. Our daughter is asleep, the wife is in her bath and I sip a nice cup of green tea while listening to Amethystium and dreaming of the summer. But I also think about the lifestyle changes I must make. I was recently diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis - and I'm only 35! But I strongly think that with the proper diet, proper exercise, gentle quasi-medical treatment, and most importantly a healthy attitude toward it, I can keep it from interfering overly-much in my… Continue

The Chickadees are singing their Spring Songs!

Posted on March 8, 2008 at 3:33pm 0 Comments

Its a quiet day today, one of lounging in the sun with the purring cat while hordes of chickadees return to the feeders. Perhaps they've resolved their seeming grudge with me. I usually am pretty vigilant about providing them with food - the finding of it in the wild has got to be scarce by now, especially with the winter we've had - but during the coldest stretch in the past month, I just couldn't get out there. It took them several days before realizing I had food out for them once again. And… Continue

Greetings to all on PaganNet

Through turns of phrase and shafts of light, I find myself here for a time, giving thoughts out to empty space hopefully not so empty. If you are ever in the Chippewa Falls/Eau Claire region of Wisconsin and happen to go to the WI Renaissance Faire there, search for me. I am the singular Green Man of the Faire.

Hello brother Brad,
Well we have a few video's up but the complete video hasn't been given to us as yet, the man who has been doing our video's hasn't completed it yet. Once it is done he will send it to us. But for now all we have is his video with Gypsy Nomads and the Ogre song. Which you were seen hiding behind the oaks.
He is going to be producing a music dvd for us which will be called the best of the World of Faeries Festivals. Hopefully that will be out soon too.
Stay in touch brother as there are new things on the branch.

Hey Brother Brad thanks for the offer. If you want to check out the park before saturday stop over when you get in. We should be in the park after noon on friday getting everything set up and letting vendors set up early. It looks to be dry and hot.
Bright Blessings Brad and thanks for the offer....

Well brother Brad we will have a new brother at the festival he should be joining the brotherhood soon. He lives in southern illinois and asked to be groved into the Order. He is bringing his wife and children to the festival in August so it appears we can have a true greenman march in full regalia.
root root root root. haha
Thistledown was an exceptional festival and the owners are just as exceptional. Sorry we missed you but I understand water may have been in play on your side of the state.
Blessings my Brother.

Brother Brad we will be coming to the Thistledown faerie festival in June I will dress accordingly and if you can find or know of any other brothers who might be interested in becoming part of the midwest grove invite them and we will most certainly have a march. We can always have one anyway. Two should be OK but more the merrier.
Bright Green Blessings From the Greenman

Well my brother,
I did receive your note about the festival and I am very pleased to know that you, your Dryad and sprouts will be joining us this year. St. Charles is but a few miles south from where we are. once you get settled you must call us. You can find our phone number on the World of Faeries website and home page. If you go to the bog site and look up my email addy maybe you could send me your cell number and or your home addy and I will send you free passes once we get them printed up.
You have no idea how happy I am that you are going to be there we can have a march of two or maybe even 3 unless a few of the boggies come over from Pennsylvania/Maryland.
Take care Brother Enserion
May your roots grow ever deep.
And your branches soar to the sky.

Well this must be a blue world of Fire and I know this great man. Who also stands tall as a tree when the summer comes to bring the energy we so dearly need in order for our roots to grow deep into the ground. How are you my dear friend. I am planning on talking with our Abbott about having the greenman march at our Festival in August. I hope you can come down this year and be a part of it as well. I will see abbott shane and the other brothers in may. I also plan on being at the fearie festival in Wisconsin this summer once we find out more information as to dates and times, cost to vend and other specifics. Please accept my sincere thanks and joy knowing that my brothers are strong and will be taking our place amongst these beautiful people here.
Bright Green blessings to you my brother. B.B.
