Psychics. Are you born with it or can you learn it?

When I was a kid I connected easily with spirits, I wouldn't say I was a medium by any means but along with that I also would get deja vu very frequently, I would dream of future events here and…Continue

Repressed Memories?

I can't remember anything before the age of about 7, I get glimpses of things here and there but I was just wondering could this be me repressing 'painful' memories or something,  could I really just…Continue

About Me:
I figured I would fill this out a little bit better.

My name is Julia LeeAnne Maupin
Married Dec. 12th 2008 to husband Brandon, mother of one since Dec. 4th 2009 - Funny thing is, we aren't big fan of winter but everything good happens in winter for us.

Stay-at-home mom that helps out occassionaly with mother-in-laws cleaning business. I have a small company called The Sacred Kitchen where I make herbal remedies and different odds and ends including organic dog treats (so even Fido is covered) but at this time we are on hiatus.

My husband works on the Mississippi River as a deckhand on the tow boats. My family has worked in this industry for 40+ years and its not like he had anything planned but one day we hope to open a a resturant.

We have extravagant dreams, but thats okay everyone needs something to work for.

When I was a kid I wanted to be a Teacher or a archeologist.

I like how my husband and I met. Mostly because I had no clue he had an interest until weeks of seeing him at his job (I would go in to get a energy drink called Rockstar {cuz thats what I am} and in all seriousness I wasn't going in there for him, I just happened to live right down the road from it) he appareently had been flirting with me for a while and I (being hard of hearing and didn't know he was talking to me, or when I did know not knowing what he was saying) kept turning him down until he saw me one day at 4am, balls tired and on a gaming high.... true love was discovered :P.

I have tons of different interests and I love to learn and meet new people. So if you are in the area let me know I'll be more then happy to have you over, I'll slice you up a piece of my awesome Cheese Cake.

Favorite Books
I like alot of different types of books. I like to learn so most diy books, farming books, cook books, some science fiction, some fantasy, I love biographies too.
Beliefs / Practices
Pagan, Other Spirituality
Other Beliefs/Practices
Eclectic Pagan, Kitchen Witchery, Wiccan, Learning about different Native American tribal traditions
Cooking, baking, self-sufficient life styles, crafting, sewing, learning to knit, music, haning out with friends and family, helping people, cruising the net, learning, writing, working on my on going book, laughing and plenty of other things. I get bored quick so I move from project to project.
My dad, we are really similar and he is such a hardheaded person. My dad has overcome alot and provided for his family more then most people could dream of. He has survived skin cancer, a brain aneurysm that they said he would never recover from and he has blown everyone away with what he has accomplished to get back to 'his life'.

The 700 Club

Posted on August 27, 2011 at 3:42am 1 Comment

It is weird that I watch the 700 Club sometimes? I watch it like I'm 'scoping out' my competition if that makes any sense. I guess I kind of like to prepare myself for the next crazy crap that may sneak up on me in public.

Tonight they are talking about the signs of the antichrist.... I find it interesting their interpretations of different versus in the bible.

On a different note: St Louis Pagan Pride has gotten a facebook page up, a website and we are hashing out…

Seriously my head is spinning from everything that has just taken place in the last 8 hours.

1. I got approved and am now on a long journey to creating the Pagan Pride Day 2012 for St. Louis... how f-in exciting is that?! I'll tell you how exciting.... really. I mean really exciting. Now I just have to find a co-coordinator or two to help me get the ball moving. Its a year away but not a minute too soon. I'm so excited.... seriously.

2. I'm finally getting…

My greatly needed vacation...

Posted on August 10, 2011 at 3:16am 0 Comments

For Lammas we went to Myrtle Beach, SC with a bunch of my christian family members :P We lit Chinese lanterns, harvested shells, sand and water and generally had a really good time. My xtian family also lit lanterns with us, obviously not for the same purpose but it was nice. We also shot off a ton of fireworks too.

The trip itself was really good, it was the first time our 20 mo. old son has ever been to the beach and boy did he have fun?! He was tumbled about, rolled around and…

Getting over that hypocrisy

Posted on July 21, 2011 at 12:44pm 1 Comment

So the other day we had a meetup with another coven and some interested folks. Let me first say that the "H.P." of the other coven use to be Catholic, he still is very Catholic to me. He keeps that same mind set and basically has introduced a more prominent female to his belief system but that is about it. He has a lot of animosity towards Xtians though... like most in this belief system. I'm guilty of it like anyone else, something happens and I get bitchy about it... those dumb over…
