I'm a lifelong artist who recently (finally) began to build a living out of art. I hope to prosper to the point where I don't need to do office work anymore and can get back to my beautiful northern hometown full-time, buy a little farm and live, live, live.
So, so many. But since this is a pagan space:
I formally learned about goddess spirituality through the works of Z Budapest, and I credit her with a significant part of my spiritual formation.
Around the same time I discovered Z in the early 90s, I also came across a small book by Judith Laura "She Lives! The Return of Our Great Mother"
"The Mind of God" and "The Fifth Miracle" by Paul Davies
The Song of Solomon/Song of Songs - just after Psalms in the Bible.
The Green witch in me loves:
- The Complete Book of Self-Sufficiency (John Seymour)
- Jude's Herbal Home Remedies (Jude Williams)
- Peterson Field Guide to the Birds of Eastern and Central North America (Virginia Marie Peterson and Roger Tory Peterson)
- The works of Susun Weed (and her online newsletter and website - www.susunweed.com)
Beliefs / Practices
Witch, Mystic, Other Spirituality
Syncretism - "Catholic Witch" is probably closest to the mark. I'm a Goddess-worshipper, I love science and the rich quasi-mystical thinking in cosmology, and I relate to my Great Mother mainly through the Catholic pantheon as re-jigged by the Celts of France, the British Isles and Spain.
I'm a natural kitchen/green witch.
I give lots of energy to dreaming and to immersion in nature.
I also have a very strong sensibility and respect about sexuality and its amazing power to unite lovers, to create love and new life, and also to make each individual whole as a both spiritual and physical being.
Painting, journal-writing, playing the mandolin, singing, handicrafts, making country wines and meads, birdwatching.
