What Kind of Heathen Are You, Really? (version 2.0)

You scored as Eclectic

You are an Eclectic Heathen. You value personal meaning and spirituality over tradition and lore, and you're willing to draw on non-Germanic sources when they work for you--but the Æsir and Vanir still play a major role in your beliefs.

I really respect buddhism, and tend to think their meditation to be one of the most potent forms. Plus their Koans are priceless for the lessons they teach you.

But on a positive note, I do all my good writing late at night. Which brings me to why I'm tap-tapping away on my keyboard at what most people would consider an ungodly hour. To me, its the end of the evening.

Last night I was really down on the planet. Now, I'm not going to reverse myself completely tonight, but I've had time to think about it, and realized that in large part, what came out of my mouth was an emotional statement. The world is messed up, but no more really than it… Continue

I wonder that often.

Sometimes too much.

Comes from not having much else to do right now. The wheels are no longer spinning in place. They've ground to a halt. Maybe even come off completely. Haven't been willing to look down and check.

Head's off in the clouds. Need to get back down to earth, but I keep getting distracted. Too many shiny objects up here.

What to do, what to do..... Physician, heal thyself. I keep feeling like I should be doing… Continue

What I know of Heinlein. Was an officer in the US Navy, he cared about patriotism which was conveyed in his aware winning novel "Starship Troopers" (and which he wrote to counter anti-war and specifically anti-soldier thinking of the time. War may be undesirable but necessary; considering WW2 as an example, if the free nations had sat idly by, the world would have become fascist. Evil has to be addressed or spreads like an unchecked cancer). Heinlein was also as prolific as he was talented. One of the great deans of science fiction.

Like the comment on half-truths. Makes me think that politicans are masters of that... no heroes? Hmmm. I'll be curious to see who eventually populates that list. Ah, a Heinlein reader. Spent many a teenage summer devouring Heinlein. SST (Starship Troopers) was the top of that list.
