About Me:
Shorthand version -- Renaissance Man for the 21st Century, Eternal Student. Long version -- Born younger twin to a British Mother and American Father on Cuban soil, both of us later adopted by Father's Aunt and Uncle when mother abandoned us while father at sea. Raised in Ohio, had an extraordinary childhood, became somewhat 'famous' on a local level by graduating High School at age 13, winning full scholarship to University of California. Had my Bachelor's Degree in education before i turned 17, earned my Master's Degree in Medieval History by age 19. Served two years in US Army, spent eight months walking around Europe and Great Britain, met and married my first wife in Wales, came back to US to teach, burnt out on teaching after five years, found job that made me four times the money but kept me traveling six weeks at a time. Six children (now all adult and on their own), my first wife passed away from Leukemia on our 20th Wedding anniversary, sending me into a deep depression that eventually resulted in health issues causing hospitalization and classification as 'disabled'. Remarried 10 years later, didn't work out, divorced after two years. Still hoping to find someone Pagan to share life with. Currently pursuing avocation of Small Press Publishing of Pagan-friendly Childrens Books. More details available by request.
Favorite Books
Way too many to list
Beliefs / Practices
Dozens that I practice to some degree, several hundred more I classify as interests -- My Avocation is that of Small Press Publisher
No particular personal heroes, but I do have an admiration for those who stand up for what they believe in, even if I happen to disagree with them.

Avocation turning into a full-time job!

Posted on January 12, 2008 at 2:46pm 2 Comments

As I mentioned in my previous blogpost, I once more took up small press publishing under the imprint "Tiny Pagans Press". I never realized the response to this posting (which was duplicated on several other Pagan sites) would be so massive! Requests for Writers and Artists Guidelines to date number 213... Submissions recieved number 21... Requests for a listing of books from parents,…

Adding to my already full plate...

...I've decided to re-activate an avocation I've enjoyed in the past, Small press Publishing! To that end, my new firm, Tiny Pagan Press, is seeking authors with manuscripts with Pagan and Faerie Themes suitable for children -- see my listing on Witchvox (Witch's Voice) for more info and the best way to contact me.

Discussing Spell Creation on another site...

Posted on January 4, 2008 at 3:49am 1 Comment

...made me think long and hard about the process I go through in doing so. Now, I'm not a 'newbie' to the Pagan pathways, and have been using Magick for most of my life, more than 40 years, but trying to explain the process to those who are not as advanced was my goal in writing the following --

"I see spell creation as a step-by-step process, but then, that's just me. For those who might be interested, I'll attempt to explain what I…

Hello! It may seem early, but I believe that the Wheel of the Year does not lurch suddenly from one Sabbat to the next, but rolls gently and serenely along the Path. Therefore, as it rolls towards Yule, I have updated my page to assist it on its way. I hope you find something there that speaks to you too.

The Wheel is turning to Samhain and I have changed my page to reflect the Sabbat and the Deities I honour at this time, which I consider my New Year. I hope that you find something there that is of interest to you!

The Imbolc Moon bursts with the vital energy of birth and growth. Winds blow, rain falls and all that bursting energy make me feel that there are unlimited and unimagined possibilities. Life renews itself and it is the time for the birth of new ideas and visions. On the first night of the New Moon nearest to Imbolc, place some dampened kitchen roll on a dinner plate. Scatter some dried mung beans on it, and set them on your Altar. Keep the kitchen roll damp, and by the third night of the new Moon, they will have sprouted - a visible symbol of the new life just starting all around. Sit by your Altar and enjoy them – raw and new – giving thanks to the Goddess for the renewal of life this represents. As you eat them, visualise new life entering into ever fibre of your being. As the season regenerates itself so will you.
