Sekhmet came to me many years ago and said "Hey you!" but it took another decade or so until I was ready to answer her call. That's ok, because I learned a lot while taking the scenic route. I was a door warden for a local Wiccan coven for awhile, then I went my own way. I followed my Lakota husband around while he was learning, and became good buds with Wakinyan, the Thunder Being. Finally, Ra got tired of waiting and said "Hey you!" a bit louder. It only took a few more years for me to wander into the Kemetic Orthodoxy.
Why, yes, I do in fact have a very thick skull!
I practice and teach Yang style tai chi. I also do journey work, energy work/chi gong, meditation, and I have long drawn out conversations with my invisible friends.
My divined parents are Heru-sa-Aset and Ra. My divined beloveds are Sekhmet-Hethert, Sobek, and Djehuty. Wakinyan doesn't show up as often as s/he used to, but I will always think of hir as an honored teacher. I also give a shout out to Artemis who used to hang out with me in college.
